Kathleen O’Day Scholarships

These students will be listed in the program of the Fundamentals course and introduced at the program as Kathleen O’Day Scholars.

UW Law School Scholarship Donors

This scholarship was created to provide scholarship support to students pursuing a law degree with the intent of improving environmental policies and laws at a local, national, or international level. This scholarship supports students from Columbia County, Wisconsin. Walsh Scholarship was established by the family and friends of John. The scholarship celebrates Mr. Walsh’s service to the legal profession, and to the athletic program at the University of Wisconsin, where he served as boxing coach from 19 to 1958, leading the Wisconsin boxing team to eight team championships. The scholarship is awarded to deserving students with financial need. The George and Lillian Young Scholarship was established by friends and family of the Youngs. The scholarship is awarded to worthy law students with financial need.

Annual Scholarships Awards

Students must be pursuing a degree in the field of STEM Recipients of this scholarship must be full-time, students with a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0. Robbin Mele Scholarship Created by Robbin Mele, a SUNY Poly Board of Trustees honorary member, the recipient must be full time matriculated students with a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0. Scholarship and financial assistance awards made from the Dr. Brij Mullick Endowed Scholarship Fund shall be made to deserving full-time first-year student with preference given to a first-year student majoring in Psychology.

Graduate Employment, Fellowship and Scholarship Opportunities

The RSA Graduate Scholarship in Rehabilitation Counseling is funded through a grant by the United States Education Rehabilitation Services Administration and administered by the Rehabilitation Counseling Program at Assumption College. Students are required to complete the scholarship agreement form before any scholarship funds can be applied to tuition. Soule Scholarship in Rehabilitation Counseling is funded by an endowment established by Unum Companies and administered by the Rehabilitation Counseling Graduate Program at Assumption College. The scholarship is awarded annually to qualified graduate students in Rehabilitation Counseling. The scholarship is a merit scholarship and will be awarded based on an applicant’s academic record, personal and professional commitment to serving individuals with disabilities and the rehabilitation counseling profession, and a desire to have a career in vocational rehabilitation.

Law Enforcement and Corrections Scholarship Programs

Texas Criminal Justice Scholarship: $1,000 or $500 per term, based on number of hours taken College credits awarded: 12 hours for four years of work experience and 9 hours for Pre-Service training. These scholarships can be applied to ANY of Wayland’s many degree programs, associate to doctorate, so applicant are not limited to fields related to their job. These scholarships also to their spouse AND their children as long as applicant are actively employed, and can be used by multiple family members at the same time with no problem. The scholarship may be applied to tuition, fees, books, dorm costs and meal plans, depending on campus choice.

Featured Scholarships

The MAGES program is proud to offer one two-year, full tuition scholarship to an outstanding member of each incoming class. Note: The BMW Center offers a scholarship of up to 50% of tuition for two Rangel fellows per year. Pickering Fellowship Program provides graduate students with mentoring, and professional development to prepare them academically and professionally for a career in the the students.S. State Foreign Service. Additionally, the MAGES program will work with Pickering fellows on an individual basis to determine whether additional scholarships to cover part of the remaining cost of tuition are available.

Scholarships for Current Students

Some other endowed and restricted scholarships require an application from the student. Endowed and restricted scholarships are generally awarded for one year only, unless otherwise noted. Applicants must be full time students with junior standing and a 3.0 cumulative grade point average or full time graduate students with a 3.0 cumulative grade point average or equivalent. Most of these scholarships require detailed applications to be completed several months prior to the start of a program, so advance planning is essential.

Cartography Geography Scholarships

All Cartography Geography scholarship recipients are selected by the department, with final approval by the ECU Foundation Scholarship Committee. BRILES SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship will be awarded based on need and a minimum 2.5 GPA. Originally established as part of the Federal Student Loan Program, this scholarship was transferred to the ECU Foundation in 1995. DCT COLLEGE OF HEALTH AND SCIENCES CENTENNIAL ENDOWMENT This scholarship will be available to all students in the College of Health and Sciences, with priority given to students pursing a master’ degree in a discipline housed in the College of Health and Sciences at the time of the award. HIGGINBOTHAM FAMILY CARTO GEO SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship will be awarded to a cartography major with a concentration in geography.

Mass Communications Scholarships

All scholarships require full-time attendance unless indicated otherwise. All scholarships require a 3.0 cumulative GPA unless indicated otherwise. All scholarships are for fall and or spring semester only unless indicated otherwise. All Mass Communications scholarship recipients are selected by the department, with final approval by the ECU Foundation Scholarship Committee. DONALD AND BETTIE BLACK FOUNDATION AWARD This scholarship will be awarded at the discretion of the department. BRILES SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship will be awarded based on need and a minimum 2.5 GPA. Originally established as a part of the Federal Student Loan Program, this scholarship was transferred to the ECU Foundation in 1995. DONNA CALLISON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship will be awarded at the discretion of the department.
