Office of Financial Aid

Important Note: A student may receive financial aid up to the maximum time-frame, however, financial aid programs life-time limit policy is accounted for in the student eligibility. If the student exhausted any financial aid programs prior to reaching the maximum time-frame allow to receive financial aid, the student will not be awarded aid to that particular program. If applicant repeat a course for which applicant previously received unit credit for , applicant may receive financial aid for one retake of the course. The Office of Financial Aid does not impose a minimum number of units each semester, although most financial aid programs require at least 6 units per semester to receive funds. As a financial aid recipient, applicant are required to make satisfactory academic progress toward their degree attainment.

Student Payment Agreement: All students must submit a completed and signed Graduate Student Financial Form before registration can be processed. Health Options Selection: Full-time graduate students must file an HEALTH OPTIONS SELECTION once each academic year, usually at the beginning of the fall term. Anticipated financial aid may be deducted from the amount due the University only if a copy of confirmation of the aid award amount and source has been submitted to the Financial Aid Office. Applicant will be billed in September with payment due in January or billed in February with payment due in May students anticipating graduation must pay term bill by April 15, thus satisfying their financial commitment prior to graduation.

Financial Information

Once all financial aid paperwork has been completed, and provided aid is awarded, these funds may be used as payment for educational costs for the remainder of that academic year. Students are responsible for completing all necessary application forms for financial aid and for following the appropriate procedures in seeking aid. Securing financial aid may take time, and students may be advised to delay the start of their program until aid is secured. Most of the programs offer three payment options: Total Package Payment , Payment with Financial Aid, and the Monthly Payment Plan. In addition, a student will only be allowed to receive financial aid until they have attempted 150% of the credit hours required to graduate from the program.

As a graduate professional student, applicant are considered independent when ing for most federal student financial aid programs. However, some federal and institutional financial aid programs require the student to submit parental financial information as part of the student’s financial aid application requirements. Students are not required to submit parental financial information if they do not intend to for financial aid programs which require submission of such information.
