Scholarships

Honors College merit scholarships may be awarded on top of any other merit-based or need-based scholarship a student may receive from the College of Charleston, State of South Carolina, or from independent sources. The scholarship should be given to outstanding students on the basis of merit. The Mosteller Family Endowed Scholarship was established by Dr. Mosteller, class of 1981, to provide out-of-state Swanson Scholars with scholarship funds. The Othersen Scholarship was established by Dr. Othersen, class of 1950. This scholarship is given to students who deminstrate an interest in pre-health programs or the medical humanities program. The scholarship is intended for students who did not receive scholarship support from the College when they enrolled.

Merit-Based Scholarships

Dean’s Scholarship The Dean’s Scholarship is one of Stern’s most prestigious scholarships and is awarded to a limited number of the university most meritorious admitted students. Stern Scholarship This one-year scholarship covers full tuition for the first year of study and is awarded to admitted students showing strong merit. Alumni Scholarship This $60,000 scholarship is for the first year of study and is awarded to admitted students showing strong merit. Stern designates Forté Fellows at the time of admission to exceptional women candidates who are also receiving a merit based scholarship. Stern designates ROMBA Fellows to exceptional LGBTQ candidates who receive a merit-based scholarship. The Admissions Committee offers partial scholarships each year to selected applicants receiving minimal or no financial sponsorship from their employer.

Scholarships

MSFS offers a number of partial-tuition, merit-based scholarships during the admissions process. MSFS merit-based scholarships are distributed to students of exceptional ability and talent based on the strength of their applications in the admissions process. A limited number of admitted applicants who do not receive an MSFS scholarship may be placed on a waitlist for merit-based aid. Dual degree applicants are considered for MSFS merit-based scholarships as part of the admissions process. SoldierStrong Scholarship: This gift was established to provide merit-based scholarships to students who are enrolled in MSFS and who are veterans of the United States military. A merit-based award, the Maria Pinto Carland Scholarship will be awarded annually to individuals of exceptional promise reflecting Maria’s dedication to academic rigor, extracurricular achievement, and international service.

Scholarships

The Ramsell Scholarship for African-American Diversity is a merit-based award for an incoming graduate business student who self-identifies as African-American and demonstrates both high academic qualifications and great potential. The Wilder Scholarship is a merit-based award for an incoming graduate business student who demonstrates academic excellence, ambition, and great potential. The William L’Heureux Scholarship is a merit-based award up to $8,000 for an incoming graduate business student who demonstrates high-academic qualifications and great potential. The William L’Heureux African-American Diversity Scholarship is a merit-based award up to $8,000 for an incoming graduate business student who self identifies as African-American and demonstrates both high-academic qualifications and great potential.

USC Regulatory Quality Sciences

The Aiko Maruya Award is given to students pursuing their graduate education in regulatory or quality sciences based upon academic merit and personal qualities as detailed in their scholarship application. The department awards a YuYu Pharma work-study bursary to students pursuing their graduate education in regulatory or quality sciences based upon academic merit and personal qualities as detailed in their scholarship application. The department awards the Quality Excellence Scholarship to students pursuing their Master’s in Medical Product Quality based upon academic merit and personal qualities as detailed in their scholarship application. The department awards the Drug Development Scholarship to students pursuing their Master’s in Management of Drug Development based upon academic merit and personal qualities as detailed in their scholarship application.

Merit Scholarships in Computer Science Criminal Justice Metropolitan College

As an investment in the university students and the university classroom environment, MET has established merit scholarships to recognize exceptional academic and professional accomplishments. Each merit scholarship is $2,000 and is renewable each semester, as determined by GPA progression requirements. Please note that employees of Boston University and BU Medical Center are not eligible for merit scholarships. A completed Application for Graduate Admission must be submitted in order to be considered for a scholarship however, no additional application is required. All applicants to a graduate degree program in computer science or criminal justice are automatically considered for this merit scholarship.

Merit Scholarships—Business Computer Science, Criminal Justice, and Health Communication Metropolitan College

As an investment in the university students and the university classroom environment, MET has established merit scholarships to recognize exceptional academic and professional accomplishments. Each merit scholarship is worth $200 per course for all required courses of their degree program and is renewable each semester, as determined by GPA progression requirements. Please note that employees of Boston University and BU Medical Center are not eligible for merit scholarships. A completed Application for Graduate Admission must be submitted in order to be considered for a scholarship however, no additional application is required. All applicants to a graduate degree program in business , computer science,criminal justice, or health communication are automatically considered for this merit scholarship.

UW Law School Scholarship Donors

The Scholarship is awarded to deserving law students based on merit. This scholarship was created to provide scholarship support to students pursuing a law degree with the intent of improving environmental policies and laws at a local, national, or international level. The scholarship is awarded to Wisconsin residents with merit and financial need. This scholarship supports law students who are Wisconsin residents and who have demonstrated scholarship and character. This scholarship provides merit-based support for highly promising law students, with a preference for Wisconsin residents. The scholarship supports Wisconsin born students who were born and raised outside of either Milwaukee or Dane Counties, and based on both financial need and merit. The scholarship is awarded to worthy law students with financial need.

Merit-Based Scholarships

The university offer a number of competitive, merit-based scholarships to help applicant finance their degree. Non-degree advanced professional certificate program students and NYU Employees are not eligible for merit-based scholarships. Dean’s Scholarship: Full-tuition scholarship awarded to applicants based on merit and strength of application, regardless of degree program or area of interest. Public Service Scholarship: Partial and half-tuition scholarships awarded to applicants based on merit and strength of application, regardless of degree program or area of interest. Executive Leaders Scholarship: 25% scholarship awarded to applicants of the Executive MPA for Public Service Leaders program based on merit and the overall strength of application. Truman Scholarship: Selected Truman scholarship recipients accepted to NYU Wagner will be considered for scholarship funding equivalent to 50% tuition for full-time or part-time study.
