Certified Financial Planner CFP reg Program

Identify and quantify debt management and education planning objectives as well as overall financial objectives of a client through evaluation of financial statements and other data. One class will be devoted to a presentation on use the financial planning process to set client expectations and answer any questions or concerns clients have before agreeing to a financial planning engagement. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the content found within the financial planning curriculum and effectively apply and integrate this information in the formulation of a financial plan. Analyze personal financial situations, evaluating clients’ objectives, needs, and values to develop an appropriate strategy within the financial plan. Apply the CFP Board Financial Planning Practice Standards to the financial planning process.

CFP Certificate Program

Through assigned readings, lectures, class discussions, problem sets, and an experiential learning project, applicant will gain an of the financial planning profession and obtain the knowledge necessary to define the scope of the financial planner client relationship, identify and gather client financial data and goals, and begin to analyze and evaluate the client’s financial needs. Emphasis will be placed on the regulatory agencies that govern the university profession, ethical standards, budgeting, case study, various special situations, financial statement creation, importance of client relationships, and the time value of money. Employee compensation has changed significantly in recent years, so it is essential that financial planners grasp coordinate employer-sponsored benefits within a plan.

Standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress

The Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, requires Saint Mary College to develop and enforce standards of satisfactory academic progress prior to awarding any federal financial aid funds to students. If a student is academically disqualified from Saint Mary’s College, they will be ineligible for further financial aid without re-admission to the college, and an approved SAP appeal. A student can regain eligibility for financial aid in one of two ways. Second, the student may have a financial aid appeal approved. Students on financial aid termination may appeal the loss of aid if extenuating circumstances prevented the students from making satisfactory progress. Submission of an appeal does not guarantee reinstatement of financial aid eligibility.

Financial Planning Certificate Online

NCPR 500 Personal Financial Planning Introduces the concepts of the financial planning process, client planner interactions, time value of money applications, personal financial statements development and assessment, cash flow and debt management, and asset acquisition. NCPR 502 Investment Planning Provides an understanding of the various types of securities traded in financial markets, investment theory and practice, portfolio construction and management, and investment strategies and tactics. NCPR 506 Capstone: Financial Planning Engages students in critical thinking and decision-making personal financial management topics in the context of the financial planning process. Scholarship General is not eligible for financial aid.
