NASA Earth and Space Science Fellowship Established to further the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Mission, recipients are individuals pursuing Masters or Doctoral degrees in Earth and space sciences, or related disciplines at respective institutions. Tolson , this award is for graduate students or students admitted for graduate study who are members of an underrepresented population of students in the College of Engineering Aerospace and Ocean Engineering. GEM Fellowship The objective of the GEM Fellowship program is to offer doctoral fellowships to underrepresented minority students who have either completed, are currently enrolled in a master’s in engineering program, or received admittance into a PhD program directly from a bachelor’s degree program.

These fellowship are awarded by the Aerospace Engineering to top incoming graduate students. These fellowships are given by the College of Engineering to women and underrepresented students in the engineering area. These prestigious one-year fellowships are awarded by the College of Engineering to entering master’s degree and doctoral degree students. Only six Carver fellowships are given across the engineering campus. This fellowship is awarded by the College of Engineering to entering and continuing PhD students who have demonstrated an aptitude for the instructional program. These fellowships are awarded to entering and continuing students by the Aerospace Engineering. Selection of fellowship recipients is made by the Board of Directors of the Illinois Space Grant Consortium.
