Grants and Scholarships

The award is dedicated to helping preserve the open sharing of fresh ideas and to helping students artfully express these ideas at the American Association for Teaching Curriculum annual conference. This scholarship is awarded annually and is open to all Morgridge College of Education doctoral students. A financial stipend to support travel to the American Association for Teaching and Curriculum conference. Support in preparing a manuscript for submission to Curriculum and Teaching Dialogue, the peer-reviewed annual journal published by AATC. Upon completion of the year-long program, fellows will receive a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Colorado teaching license.

Fellowships

Overall, the VCU Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship promotes a high degree of individualized attention to the education and supervision for each fellow as they develop in order to promote best outcomes for the university patients and families as well as to build strong mental health clinicians to care for and support the university future generations.

Scholarships

First-Year Student Financial Aid

Merit scholarships are academic scholarships based on several criteria including course achievement and rigor of curriculum, standardized tests for students that choose to submit them, engagement in extracurricular activities, and a holistic review of other supporting application materials. Awards will be determined based on a holistic application review, including grades, curriculum rigor, essay, co and extra curricular activities, and letter of recommendation. Mount St. Mary University participates in all of the financial aid programs offered by the the students.S. Education. Further if applicant enroll less than full time, their cost of education will be recalculated using actual reduced tuition costs. The Education randomly selects student FAFSAs for verification.

Financial Planning Certificate

Taught by industry leaders working in the financial planning field, the curriculum covers comprehensive financial planning services with an emphasis on high-quality client service. Intensive Path students may qualify for a Smart Options Continuing Education Student Loan, offered by Sallie Mae. The SMU PRO Certified Financial Planning Certificate program curriculum was developed by integrating the CFP Board’s required topic list, traditional textbook curriculum and well-known CFP® Certification Examination review material.

Certificate in Financial Planning

The FSU CFP Program is a non-credit, CFP Board-Registered Certificate Program designed to prepare students for success in the financial planning field and to fulfill the education coursework requirement set by the CFP Board to qualify to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination. Students completing the financial planning program at FSU will have met the Education requirement for CFP® Certification Examination administered by CFP Board. To sit for the exam, applicant must have completed a financial planning curriculum at a CFP Board-Registered Program such as the university's, or satisfied CFP Board’s education coursework requirement through the Challenge or Transcript Review options.

Enhancing Science, Technology, EnginEering, and Math Educational Diversity Research Education Experiences

Applicants must read and follow all application instructions in the Application Guide as well as any program-specific instructions noted in Section IV. Research education programs may complement ongoing research training and education occurring at the applicant institution, but the proposed educational experiences must be distinct from those training and education programs currently receiving Federal support. It is critical that applicants follow the Research (R) Instructions in the SF424 (R R) Application Guide, including Supplemental Grant Application Instructions except where instructed in this funding opportunity announcement to do otherwise. While the proposed research education program may complement ongoing research training and education occurring at the applicant institution, the proposed educational experiences must be distinct from those research training and research education programs currently receiving federal support.

Financial Analyst Program

The Finance introduced a new business curriculum in the fall semester of 1997: The Financial Analyst Program The Financial Analyst Program provides an opportunity for a select group of outstanding finance seniors to develop advanced quantitative and analytical skills and extensive practical experience as financial analysts. Students in the program complete courses in security analysis and advanced financial topics and acquire research and modeling skills in the Financial Education and Research Center. They complete the academic curriculum while undertaking stock research for MBA Fund Managers. Students are assessed on the basis of: academic performance difficulty level of the academic curriculum taken to date leadership, activities, and or honors work experience writing ability and strength of financial analysis.
