Grants

A grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association , it will enable Troy University Libraries to hold public programming such as public film screenings, lectures, discussion groups, oral history initiatives, local history exhibitions, or performances Latino history and culture.

International Center

Their hope is to use these findings to: help ISE design future courses and activities for SAS show study abroad professionals what can be done to cultivate compassion in their students improve their own teaching by better understanding how compassion was cultivated on SAS. Additionally, networking with local scholars can potentially establish pedagogical relations to offer study abroad courses in this up-and-coming region. Dr. Fu plans to attend and present at the triennial Berkshire Conference on the History of Women, the most prestigious and respected international conference for scholars in the US that is dedicated to the study of women across all disciplinary and academic fields.

BMI Jerry Goldsmith Film Scoring Scholarship

Scholarship award: $2,500 Named in honor of the late Oscar and Emmy Award-winning film and television composer Jerry Goldsmith, the BMI Jerry Goldsmith Film Scoring Scholarship is awarded annually to help partially underwrite study in the UCLA Extension Film Scoring program. This scholarship is part of BMI’s overall commitment to music education and career development for new composers, says Doreen Ringer Ross, BMI Vice President of Film TV Relations. Scholarship recipients must apply scholarship funds toward enrollment in coursework in the UCLA Extension Film Scoring Certificate within the four quarters following the award receipt.

Kentucky Scholarship Online offers access to a wide range of titles across History, Film, Television, and Radio, and Political Science. Manchester Scholarship Online offers quick and easy access to the full text of over 300 books in History, Literature, Political Science, Film, Television Radio, and Society Culture.

Fellowship and Award Opportunities

Each year the Humanities Initiative generally offers three Research Fellowships to graduate students in the humanities and art disciplines, including but not limited to history, art history, music, philosophy, cultural studies, literary and language studies, religious studies, drama and performance studies, cinema studies, and gender studies. Sponsored by the the students.S. State, and administered by the Institute for International Education , the Fulbright the students.S. Student Program offers opportunities for recent graduates, postgraduate candidates, developing professionals and artists to conduct career-launching study and research abroad. Academic Year FLAS fellowships are for students engaged in a domestic or overseas program of full-time language and area or international studies coursework.

Graduate Funding Resources

The Radio-Television-Film awards several fellowships each year to deserving graduate students. The Radio-Television-Film awards several scholarships made possible by endowments created by alumni and friends of the department. If applicant are a FILM STUDENT and applicant have extra EXPENSES related to their films, applicant can file a separate form to request financial aid. Women and Gender Studies offers awards and fellowships once a year.

To that end, the Lurcy Trustees invite the broadest range of topics without exclusion of any field of study or preference as to any department. Description: Each year the Center for the Humanities generally offers three Research Fellowships to graduate students in the humanities and art disciplines, including but not limited to history, art history, music, philosophy, cultural studies, literary and language studies, religious studies, drama and performance studies, cinema studies, and gender studies. Application: Fill out and submit the IFS Graduate Student Travel Grant Application to the Director of Graduate Studies.
