The recipients of the William Lonnie Revels, Sr. Memorial Scholarship shall be native residents of North Carolina majoring in American Indian Studies, Education, or Business at UNCP.

National Fellowship Program

Chapin has published articles in Studies in American Political Development and the Journal of Policy History. While scholars of environmental policy, American business, or working-class communities have tended to analyze the history of each subfield separately, this project draws on the history of capitalism, critical geography, and interdisciplinary studies of regulation to argue that the shared history of policymakers, business people, and workers did not unfold in insolated silos. The dissertation augments the burgeoning historical literature on the American carceral state, and demonstrates that in order to understand the vast scope of modern coercive state power, scholars must consider the dense legal terrain of American cities, and account for the considerable power wielded by local policing institutions to define the boundaries of legality.

American Indian Graduate Center To be considered for an AIGC fellowship the applicant must be: 1) pursuing a post baccalaureate graduate or professional degree as a full time student at an accredited institution in the the students.S., 2) able to demonstrate financial need, and 3) an enrolled member of a federally recognized American Indian tribe or Alaska Native group, or provide documentation of descent American Institute for Certified Public Accountants for Minority Accounting Students The scholarship program awards up to $5,000 to outstanding minority students to encourage their selection of accounting as a major and their ultimate entry into the profession.

American Indian Graduate Center

The REDW Scholarship is for and graduate student who are enrolled members of a federally recognized American Indian tribe or Alaska Native group or a state-recognized tribe in the the students.S. OR provide documentation of ancestry to possession of one-fourth degree Indian blood of a state or federally recognized tribe in Arizona or New Mexico. AIGC administers a Bureau of Indian Education contract to provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships to eligible American Indian and Alaska Natives seeking graduate and professional degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics The maximum amount of an award is up to $20,000 and the maximum amount of a graduate award is up to $30,000 in an academic year.

American Philosophical Society Phillips Fund Grant for Native American Research Provides grants for graduate students completing research in Native American linguistics, ethnohistory and the history of studies of Native Americans, in the continental United States and Canada. Council of American Overseas Research Centers The Council of American Overseas Research Centers offers PhD candidates who are in the dissertation writing stage of their doctoral work and Post-doctoral scholars/researchers an opportunity to fund regional and trans-regional research. Dorot Fellowship in Israel The Dorot Fellowship is designed to assemble and empower a network of young Jewish lay leaders to enliven the American Jewish landscape. Provides funding for students in modern foreign languages and area studies.
