The purpose of the Global Mental Health Fellowship is to promote global mental health research and training by providing financial assistance to a graduate student, professional student, or medical resident who would like to work on global mental health projects in low or middle-income countries. Demonstrated financial need The purpose of the Stergachis Endowed Fellowship for International Exchange is to promote global health by providing financial assistance to graduate or professional students who would like to work on public health projects in developing countries, preferably in Uganda. The SCOPE Fellowship Program is a three to six month research opportunity to learn firsthand fostering interdisciplinary approaches for tackling global health challenges.

Office of Distinguished Scholarships

The selective six-week summer program is designed to prepare scholars for careers in international affairs by combining courses and experiential opportunities that explore core skills and current issues in international affairs careers. Scholars design their study experience by choosing one of six academic concentrations that direct their electives and field studies. Benjamin Kompa, a fourth-year student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, has been named a recipient of the prestigious Churchill Scholarship, a research-focused award that provides funding to outstanding American students for a year of master’s study in science, mathematics and engineering at Churchill College, based at the University of Cambridge in England.

Funded by the Sarah Scaife Foundation, the fellowship is awarded to outstanding students enrolled in international security studies courses. The René Henri Bodmer Endowed Scholarship Fund René Henri Bodmer, F95 established this endowed scholarship to support a MALD student, with preference given to an international student, but not exclusive to an international student. Hormats Scholar in International Economic Policy This scholarship is available to students with financial need who are interested in international economic policy. The Peter Malone Endowed Scholarship This scholarship is awarded with preference for students interested in the International Security Studies Program. Meister Endowed Scholarship for International BusinessThis scholarship shall be awarded to a student who is enrolled in pursuit of Fletcher’s Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy, including overseas studies.

Fund for Education Abroad FEA is expanding access to study abroad by raising awareness of its benefits to the individual and value to the collective, and by granting scholarships of up to $10,000. IIE Freeman-ASIA Freeman Awards for Study in Asia provides scholarships for the students.S. students with demonstrated financial need to study abroad in East or Southeast Asia. Boren Scholarship These scholarships are available to students who study in critical world areas such as Africa, Asia , Eastern and Central Europe, Latin and South America and the Middle East.

American Association of University Women AAUW International Fellowships are awarded for full-time study or research in the United States to women who are not the students.S. citizens or permanent residents. The Aga Khan Foundation provides a limited number of scholarships each year for postgraduate studies to outstanding students who have no other means of financing their studies, in order to prepare them for employment. The International Peace Research Association Foundation , USA invites applications for the Dorothy Marchus Senesh Fellowship for Women from Developing Countries in Peace and Development Studies every two year. The American University AU Emerging Global Leader Scholarship promotes educational access and opportunity while enhancing international diversity.

Global grants

Global grants support large international activities with sustainable, measurable outcomes in Rotary’s areas of focus. Both the district or club in the country where the activity is carried out and the international partner district or club must first become qualified before ing for a global grant. Responds to real community needs — starting 1 July, any club or district that applies for a global grant to support a humanitarian project or a vocational training team must conduct a community assessment first and include the results in their grant application. Applicant will be required to fill out an global grant report. Local Rotarians who have expertise in Rotary’s areas of focus, global grants, and project planning are among their best resources.

Graduate Professional Student Grants

The Russian Studies Program of the Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies announces the availability of Russian Studies Pre-dissertation Research Grants to aid graduate students expecting to be engaged in research in Russia on their pre-doctoral dissertation. Graduate students seeking support for field research or language study should for a Smith Richardson Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. Awards are made for the summer, semester, or academic year, and are open to current Yale graduate students conducting research in the fields of international, diplomatic, and military history or strategic studies. A limited number of awards for qualified graduate students who wish to conduct pre-dissertation summer research or immersion language study in South Asia that is relevant to their doctoral work at Yale.
