Public Health Alumni Association Scholarship Competition The Public Health Alumni Association provides $1,500 per student if selected for this award. Funding for Fieldwork

The purpose of the Global Mental Health Fellowship is to promote global mental health research and training by providing financial assistance to a graduate student, professional student, or medical resident who would like to work on global mental health projects in low or middle-income countries. Demonstrated financial need The purpose of the Stergachis Endowed Fellowship for International Exchange is to promote global health by providing financial assistance to graduate or professional students who would like to work on public health projects in developing countries, preferably in Uganda. The SCOPE Fellowship Program is a three to six month research opportunity to learn firsthand fostering interdisciplinary approaches for tackling global health challenges.

Center for Global Health

The majority of Penn medical students who pursue global health experiences receive their funding through CGH. CGH travel stipends are intended to encourage as many students as possible to gain exposure to international health care systems and research environments, as well as health care challenges where resources are limited. Students are under consideration for funding for one conference per fiscal year IGOT Morgan and Madison McClellan International Research Fellowship Accordingly, the Center for Global Health has teamed up with the Agnew Surgical Society and Penn Global Surgery Group to establish a summer fellowship for first-year medical students interested in research in global surgery.

NurseJournal’s Global Health ScholarshipAmount: $3.000 Description:This scholarship is for or graduate students enrolled in global health-related programs in nursing, medicine or public health. Award is based on academic excellence, financial need, extracurricular activities, demonstrated aptitude and critical need of health care areas. Applicants must be interested in pursuing careers in the health industry, demonstrate financial need and hold GPAs of 3.0 or greater.

Global grants

Consult with local experts early in the planning process to build a strong project plan and global grant application. Is sustainable — include plans for long-term success after the global grant funds have been spent. Responds to real community needs — starting 1 July, any club or district that applies for a global grant to support a humanitarian project or a vocational training team must conduct a community assessment first and include the results in their grant application. Measuring outcomes is an integral part of global grant projects. Applicant will be required to fill out an global grant report. Local Rotarians who have expertise in Rotary’s areas of focus, global grants, and project planning are among their best resources.

Global Health Nursing Master Degree Program

This concentration emphasizes the role of the professional global health nurse and how they serve global populations both internationally and domestically as educators, clinicians, scholars, and policy makers.

CalSWEC Integrated Behavioral Health , Mental Health Services Act This one-year stipend of $18,500 is available to second year MSW students, including from the Virtual Academic Center , who graduate in the spring semester and who want to pursue a career in the field of public mental health in California. This stipend program is offered through a collaborative effort between the California Social Work Education Center headquartered at UC Berkeley and MSW programs throughout the state while being funded by the Mental Health Services Act This stipend program is designed to improve the field of public mental health with MSW professionals committed to a career serving this population.

Global Activities Scholars Program

The Global Activities Scholars Program is a unique opportunity for students interested in working with individuals, communities, and organizations in a global context as part of their MSW program. Awards are based primarily on previous academic work, recommendations, human services employment experience, previous global experience, engagement in global issues, the applicant written supplementary statement, and scholarship application materials. Global Activities Scholars are responsible for covering all additional costs associated with a global field placement. Global Activities Scholars must enroll in a 1-credit preparation seminar during the winter term before leaving for their global field placement and a 1-credit capstone seminar the fall term after completing the global field placement. The Global Activities Scholars Program application pages will be added to the end of their MSW application.
