Graduate Tuition and Financial Aid
Various forms of financial aid are available to support their studies at the College of Fine Arts. The College of Fine Arts Graduate Financial Aid Office is located at 855 Commonwealth Avenue, Room 230. Tuition is charged as follows for students enrolled in the Master of Music, Doctor of Musical Arts, Performance Diploma, or Artist Diploma programs. The College of Fine Arts offers merit scholarships based on the strength of each candidate’s artistic promise and program needs. Assistantships are positions within the College of Fine Arts that are specifically available to graduate students.
Cost, Scholarships and Financial Aid
Each year Pacific offers partial scholarships to selected students entering the MFA program. These include a limited number of MFA Merit Scholarships, including the Pearl Scholarship, which is awarded to an exceptional student in any genre The Mapmakers Scholarship, which is awarded to exceptional students of color and the Scruggshaw Poetry Scholarship, which is awarded to exceptional poetry students. MFA students can borrow up to $20,500 per year in the Federal Unsubsidized Loan. This program offers incoming MFA students unsubsidized loans.

Grants Division of the Arts UW–Madison
The Madison Arts Commission’s Grants foster arts appreciation by initiating partnerships, developing new audiences, and sponsoring diverse artistic activities by emerging and established artists and arts organizations. The recipient of this scholarship shall be a student enrolled at Southeast Missouri State University majoring in Performing Arts. The Bray Scholarship is available to transfer students with an Associate of Arts Degree from one of the junior colleges that have articulation agreements with Southeast Missouri State University. The recipient shall be Southeast Missouri State University Graduate Program student pursuing a Master of Arts in Public History or a Master of Arts in History. This award will be given to a junior or senior student with financial need and a minimum.2.75 GPA who is majoring in art or music.
Types of Financial Aid
To for a Visual Arts Scholarship, submit all materials for University admission as well as their portfolio and essay by January 15. The terms and conditions of all loans are explained in the Master Promissory Note which all borrowers must complete and sign. Instructions for completing the Master Promissory Note are included in the Financial Aid Award Guide. First-time borrowers at Stevenson University of Federal Direct Loans are required to complete entrance counseling and Master promissory Note before the Financial Aid Office can process their loan.
Fellowship Opportunities Smithsonian Fellowships and Internships
The Anne van Biema Fellowship was established by bequest to promote excellence in research and publication on the Japanese visual arts. The Smithsonian American Art Museum hosts fellows appointed through the Smithsonian Institution Fellowship Program , the Big Ten Academic Alliance Smithsonian Fellowships, the Smithsonian Artist Research Fellowship Program , the Smithsonian Postgraduate/Postdoctoral Fellowships in Conservation of Museum Collections Program, and the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s International Placement Scheme In addition, the museum offers several named fellowships. The Douglass Foundation Fellowship in American Art is awarded annually to a predoctoral scholar conducting research in American art. The Patricia and Phillip Frost Fellowship is offered to support research in American art and visual culture.
This scholarship is awarded by application each year to an Art History major with demonstrated financial need. During the admissions process the Art Design graduate committee selects outstanding applications for nomination for several different Fellowships. Incoming new MFA students can be nominated for the Art Design Avery Fellowship, Petullo Fellowship, or a Creative and Performing Arts Fellowship. The university MFA, MA and PhD programs all have Block Grant funding, which is specifically designated for graduate recruitment and support. The Art Design graduate committee also determines nominations for the University Graduate College campus-wide competition for the Illinois Distinguished Fellowship, the Graduate College Fellowship, and the Diffenbaugh Fellowship.
