Proposal Development

NERFC grants support work in a broad array of fields, including but not limited to: history, literature, art history, African American studies, American studies, women's and gender studies, anthropology, sociology, philosophy, religious studies, environmental studies, oceanography, and the histories of law, medicine, and technology. The aim of these fellowships is to introduce students to and encourage them to critically engage key thinkers in political economy that they might not otherwise encounter during their graduate studies. At the conclusion of the career development period the candidates are expected to demonstrate they can successfully compete for research funding in the environmental health sciences.

Office of Research

Hoyas for Science Scholarship This scholarship will provide partial tuition assistance for up to 1 year to a maximum of ten newly admitted underrepresented minority students who have graduated from one of the designated Historically Black Colleges and Universities Ignatian Hoya Biomedical Academic Scholarship This scholarship will provide a partial tuition assistance credit of $15,000 to a maximum of 10 newly admitted students. Eligible and qualified students will have a record of superior academic achievement , show a commitment to biomedical research and graduate studies at the Master’s level, and demonstrate their commitment to Jesuit ideals and call to service through an essay.

Funding Opportunities

Purpose: The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement is to enhance the diversity of the mental health research workforce by providing dissertation awards in all research areas within the strategic priorities of the NIMH to individuals from groups underrepresented in biomedical, behavioral, clinical and social sciences research. PA-00-069 NIH PREDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP AWARDS FOR MINORITY STUDENTS

National Institutes of Health Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality Application Receipt Dates: May 1 and November 15 PURPOSE The National Research Service Award Predoctoral Fellowship for Minority Students will provide up to five years of support for research training leading to the Ph.D. or equivalent research degree; the combined M.D./Ph.D. degree other combined professional degree and research doctoral degree in the biomedical, behavioral sciences, or health services research.
