CBS scholarships and donors

The fellowship supports graduate students in biochemistry, molecular biology and biophysics, preferably students with ties to India. He created this endowed fund to attract and retain highly talented graduate students who conduct research in structural biology or biophysics. Gortner’s former students created this fellowship to support outstanding graduate students in the Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics. The fellowship is awarded to graduate students in the Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics who pursue research in nutrition and related areas. Thomas Reid created this endowed fund to attract and retain highly talented students to the Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics Graduate Program. The fellowship supports graduate students in the Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics.

As part of the opening of the Shiley Center, a scholarship fund in honor of Dr. Hayes was therefore established in support of students who display merit and majoring in biology, chemistry or biochemistry, environmental and ocean sciences, biophysics or physics. The USD S3 S-STEM Scholarship program aims to attract and support excellent students wishing to major in the areas of mathematics, computer science, physics or biophysics, and the program is particularly interested in recruiting low-income, underrepresented, first-generation college and female students.

Students in the Biophysics graduate program receive up to five years of financial support that includes tuition, a full stipend and health and dental insurance. Biophysics First Year Fellowships: These fellowships are supported via the College of LSA and most directly admitted students receive them during their first year in the program PIBS: Students admitted through the PIBS program are supported via a PIBS fellowship their first year. Teaching is not required by the Biophysics program, but encouraged as it gives students valuable experience.

A wide variety of projects are offered, including research in structural biology, biophysics, proteomics, protein and nucleic acid chemistry, membrane biochemistry, and molecular biology.All student participants will receive a stipend and housing, and reasonable travel costs will be covered.

Two Johns Hopkins students among 50 nationwide to earn Astronaut Scholarships. Two Johns Hopkins students, Vinay Ayyappan and Melissa Mai, are among 50 individuals from 36 the students.S. universities to earn Astronaut Scholarships in recognition of their academic merit and promise in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. Established in 1984, the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation supports students who pursue scientific education to keep America a leader in technology. The scholarship was founded by a group of astronauts—Scott Carpenter, Gordon Cooper, John Glenn, Walter Schirra, Alan Shepard, and Deke Slayton—who were test pilots when NASA recruited them for space missions in 1959.
