The American Psychological Association , the largest scientific and professional psychology organization in the the students.S., offers an annual psychology scholarship designed to help graduate psychology students travel to the APA convention in order to present their research. Offered by the American Psychological Foundation , the Roy Scrivner Research Grant supports graduate-level, applied and empirical research in the field of lesbian, gay and bisexual family psychology and therapy. Students planning to use human participants in their research must receive approval from their psychology program’s Institutional Review Board prior to receiving this psychology scholarship. The National Register of Health Services Psychologists offers numerous psychology scholarships twice per year with the goal of credentialing doctoral students, early career psychologists and postdoctoral trainees by covering the cost of review fees.

The Division of Child Psychiatry in the Psychiatry at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center on Manhattan Upper East Side is accepting applications for a two-year postdoctoral clinical psychology fellowship with a focus on child, adolescent and young adult services within the NYP Youth Anxiety Center.

Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

The Clinical Psychology Fellowship at Stanford serves as the culmination of training in psychology and is guided by the scientist-practitioner model. The Clinical Psychology Fellowship is a one year position.

Postdoctoral Fellowships in Adult Clinical Psychology

Clinic-funded fellowships are designed for those seeking careers in clinical practice settings. The fellowship is structured to provide fellows with a balance of direct clinical training, supervision, educational programming, and professional development opportunities fellows spend 50% of their time, or 20 hours, in the provision of direct clinical service, with the remaining time comprised of supervision, didactics and non-direct clinical service. In addition, the seminar explores competence, confidentiality, record keeping, multiple relationships, barter, advertising, assessment, publication, forensic work, media presentations, using the internet, making or dealing with ethics complaints, and as they bear on clinical services, teaching, supervision, and research, or any professional work done by psychologists.

These fellowships are in preparation for a clinical career in movement disorders with a special competence in the evaluation and treatment of dystonia. Full-year Research Fellowships for individuals interested in clinical and basic research relating to the latest advances in electrophysiology.

Stanford Neuropsychiatry Fellowship Program

This one-year UCNS accredited fellowship is designed to give the trainee a fundamental background in neuropsychiatry, providing requisite skills and resources that will allow the fellow to practice independently as a neuropsychiatrist. The fellowship is open to both psychiatry and neurology residents who have fulfilled their ACGME requirements in their respective fields. Fellows participate in weekly neuropsychiatry didactics that includes didactic teaching, dedicated case conferences, journal clubs and boards review course. In addition, didactic teachings are offered as integral parts of the varied multidisciplinary patient care teams. Neuropsychiatry fellowship positions for have been filled. Centers at Stanford University Hospital and the VA Palo Alto that have been involved in the university fellowship training. Housing stipend $6,000 per year

Predoctoral Training in Advanced Data Analytics for Behavioral and Social Sciences Research

This Funding Opportunity Announcement does not allow appointed Trainees to lead an independent clinical trial but does allow them to obtain research experience in a clinical trial led by a mentor or co-mentor. Current .50 Program Directors or applicants at institutions with NIH center grant awards or other programmatic awards such as Clinical and Translational Science Award awards who wish to for this program are encouraged to describe how these other awards will be used to provide professional development opportunities or serve as a research hub for these new predoctoral trainees.
