Graduate

Once students drop to the 8.10 unit enrollment level after their third quarter in the doctoral program, GSE fellowships are replaced with 50% graduate assistantships. The first five academic years of the GSE doctoral program are commonly referred to as the guaranteed funding period for the purposes of graduate aid. Student Financial Services, in conjunction with the Stanford Payroll Office, administer this program. As announced by Vice Provost for Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs Patti Gumport in June 2.18, Stanford created a need-based Graduate Family Grant program, and funding has been approved for the academic year. Graduate Cost and Aid

Once accepted to a graduate program, a student must submit a $100 deposit to reserve their place in the program. The entire MMFT program is 63 credit hours, with five practicum semesters for a total tuition and practicum cost of $35,728, putting us in the top five most affordable COAMFTE-accredited Marriage and Family Therapy programs in the nation. Federal LoansThe Federal Direct Loan Program is a low-interest loan made to applicant in two possible forms. South Carolina Teacher LoanTo encourage talented and qualified S.C. students to enter the teaching profession, the State of South Carolina developed the Teachers Loan Program to assist students with college expenses.

Funding Resources

Most business doctoral students receive a 5 year graduate assistantship, which includes a tuition waiver, stipend of approximately $25,000 for the academic year and subsidized health insurance. This assistantship appointment is limited to 5 years, contingent on satisfactory progress in the degree program. Recipients of these fellowships will represent the very best applicants to graduate programs at the University. Summer teaching opportunities are available to doctoral students with departmental approval. Financial aid awards are determined by calculating a student’s need which is equal to the cost of pursuing an education minus the student’s contributions.

ENA Foundation Scholarships

Scholarship offerings include academic scholarships, available for members and non-members seeking education ranging from associate to doctoral degrees, and conference scholarships for members interested in attending ENA’s largest educational event: Emergency Nursing annual conference. Applicants who have received ENA Foundation scholarship support for other educational levels in the past are eligible to again at the doctoral level. Previous doctoral scholarship recipients are also eligible to re in the doctoral category. Previous doctoral scholarship recipients are eligible to re in the doctoral category.

Rackham Merit Fellowship Program

Fellows who wish to change fields or add programs must have their eligibility for continued RMF support reviewed and approved by their new graduate program and the Rackham Office of Financial Aid and Fellowships prior to making the change. Note to joint or dual degree students: Fellows pursuing joint or dual degrees with non-Rackham degree programs must file their program of study with the Rackham Office of Financial Aid and Fellowships before the funding can be released. Selected Rackham doctoral programs receive an award allocation to administer their own internal Rackham Merit Fellowship award process using the RMF eligibility criteria.
