In order to be eligible for the scholarship, students must be seeking a BFA degree and major in Art Education or Studio Art All submissions will be considered for Young Nordan Scholarships. Merit scholarships are for students who are currently enrolled at TCU or students who have transferred to TCU and are majoring in the Art Education and Studio Art BFA programs. Merit scholarships are available for students transferring to TCU and intending to pursue a BFA degree in Art Education or Studio Art Portfolio reviews for merit scholarships occur in the Spring. Graduate students in the art history program benefit from numerous funding opportunities. Grants for research travel are also available on a competitive basis from the Mary Jane and Robert Sunkel Art History Endowment.

The Alonzo and Mary Louise Brummett Scholarship in Fine Arts is awarded to an or graduate who is pursuing a Studio Art B.F.A. or M.F.A. Preference shall be given to those who otherwise would be financially unable to attend the university, have a sincere academic interest in the liberal arts and mathematics or the physical sciences. This endowed scholarship fund provides scholarships to students with demonstrated interest and competence in an area of visual arts and financial need. Selection will be made by the Director of Financial Aid and the Chair of the Art Department.
