Executive (Online) Securities Financial Regulation LL.M.

The university Securities and Financial Regulation LL.M. is offered as a part-time Executive degree and is available to both domestic and foreign trained students with a first degree in law A student will learn what an asset and a liability are, what the basic financial statements are, how financial statements are developed from the underlying accounting information of a company, and how the basic transactions of a business affect each line item of each financial statement.

UW Law School Scholarship Donors

This scholarship was created to provide scholarship support to students pursuing a law degree with the intent of improving environmental policies and laws at a local, national, or international level. Knapp Bequest Committee has generously supported law students for many years, awarding the first law scholarships in 1945. The scholarship is available to a second or third-year law student who is in the top 50% of the class and who is interested in pursuing a career in civil litigation. The Abe Sigman Scholarship was established in 1975 to celebrate Abe Sigman’s 50th year practicing law. This scholarship supports law students who are Wisconsin residents and who have demonstrated scholarship and character. This scholarship provides merit-based support for highly promising law students, with a preference for Wisconsin residents.

Donor Sponsored Scholarships

This scholarship is to help provide and opportunity for a Western New England Law student to begin or continue to achieve their goal of a legal degree. At least twenty-five percent of the scholarship amount each year is to be awarded to an evening student and at least twenty-five percent of the scholarship amount each year is to be awarded to a law student This scholarship was established through the generosity of Gerard L. A scholarship is available to a second-year evening law student based upon financial need and a GPA of at least 3.0. This scholarship is renewable for the student’s third and fourth years provided the student continues to demonstrate good academic performance and has financial need.

Taxation Scholarships and Fellowships

Scholars may generally not accept paid employment outside of the Law Center during the academic year, although they are free to for academic externships.

James W.Stoudt Memorial Scholarships Pennsylvania Bar Foundation

A Dean’s List student and teaching assistant for Legal Research and Writing, Yancey has served as a judicial intern for the First Judicial District’s Complex Litigation Center and as a judicial aide and law clerk for judges of the First Judicial District. Caputo Scholarship, a staff editor for the Journal of Technology, Law and Policy, a teaching assistant for Legal Writing, a LexisNexis Student Representative and a member of the Pittsburgh Law Women’s Association, Phi Alpha Delta and the Allegheny County Bar Association. Ms. Berkstresser is a law student representative for the PBA YLD, the vice president of the American Association for Justice and a member of the Dickinson’s Public Interest Law Fund and Public Interest Loan Repayment Assistance Committee.

Other Public Interest Fellowship Opportunities

To applicant must be a first or second-year law student of South Asian descent who will be spending at least ten weeks of the summer in an unpaid public interest legal internship in New York State or the greater metropolitan area demonstrate financial need and not already have received the SABANY Fellowship. The Section’s Environmental Law Fellowship was created to provide opportunities for law students to work in governmental and public-interest environmental law organizations in order to develop their interests and skills in the field of environmental law. The State Bar allows law students up to three free one-year Section memberships students who are not already members will be required to join the Environmental Law Section if they are selected for a Fellowship.

Banking Financial Law

Specific topics to be covered include: the roots of the law and the derivation of legal rules from those roots the respective roles of scholars, judges, executive officials and other actors in determining and enforcing rules of Islamic law judicial procedure and rules of evidence reform and the reception of Western law in the 19th and 20th centuries democracy, constitutionalism, and contemporary theories and forms of Islamic states and Islamic law in the the students.S. and other non-Muslim lands.

Newark Scholarships

Awarded to students who have an interest in criminal law, who excel academically in criminal law courses, and who demonstrate financial need. Established to support students, to be called Mesnikoff Scholars, who are interested in pursuing careers in commercial and or bankruptcy law. Established with a bequest from Charles Silverman to support law students in need of tuition assistance. The fund is intended to support scholarships or other assistance for law students with disabilities or other significant challenges. It is intended to support law students, who will be known as Solomon Scholars, with demonstrated financial need and an interest in pursuing a career in labor and employment law. It will be awarded to full-time law students based on academic merit and financial need.

Current Named Scholarships

This scholarship, in memory of Alec Cory, is awarded to a 3L or 4L law student who has demonstrated a strong commitment to public interest law. The Antonyan Miranda Named Scholarship is awarded to a law student with proven academic success, who has demonstrated interest in the field of Family Law, and demonstrated financial need. Awarded to a female law student who is currently pursuing or interested in pursuing a career practicing transactional law and has demonstrated financial need. This scholarship is awarded to a law student who has demonstrated outstanding academic performance in business oriented law courses. This scholarship is awarded annually to a law student who demonstrates financial need, a strong work ethic and a commitment to the principled rigors of practicing law.

Taxation Program Scholarships

The recipient of this partial-tuition award commits to writing a research paper in the field with the view to submitting the piece to writing competitions. These merit-based scholarships are awarded to applicants who have outstanding academic records and show exceptional promise for their contribution to the GTP.
