The purpose of this fellowship program is to identify the future leaders in nutrition. Friedman Fellowships in Nutrition and Citizenship. Priority will be given to those applicants who can demonstrate a strong need for this scholarship in order to enroll and or continue in their doctoral studies in the Biochemical and Molecular Nutrition Program. This scholarship provides a unique opportunity for these individuals to pursue studies in nutrition science that otherwise would not be afforded to them. The donor’s preference is that this scholarship be awarded to women investigating nutrition and coronary disease.

Funding Opportunities

Purpose: This funding opportunity encourages applications to improve health outcomes for women, infants and children, by stimulating interdisciplinary research focused on maternal nutrition and pre-pregnancy obesity. Integrative Grant Integrative research projects that explore evidence-based complementary interventions such as acupuncture, nutrition, meditation, yoga, etc.

International Programs

With the AWARE grant, Vicky will be comparing male and female farmers’ decision making power, views on division of labor, attitude towards and experience with domestic violence, dietary diversity, and time use.

Mitchell Fellowship in Animal Nutrition

The Mitchell Fellowship in Animal Nutrition recognizes excellent graduate students who are specializing in animal nutrition in the Animal Sciences at the University of Illinois, Urbana, Illinois. The purpose of the fellowship is to provide financial assistance, and to encourage and recognize excellence of graduate students specializing in animal nutrition in the Animal Sciences at the University of Illinois.

Clark Fellowship in Applied Dairy Cattle Nutrition

The Clark Fellowship recognizes an outstanding graduate student who has a career interest in dairy cattle nutrition and is enrolled in the Animal Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The fellowship hopes to support the recruitment and retention of students from the United States, if possible, in an effort to bolster the pipeline of domestic talent in academia, research, and practice in applied dairy cattle nutrition.

Nursing and Health Sciences

Awards will be made to two newly accepted DPT students each year: 25% of tuition for the duration of the DPT program An award will be made to one newly accepted student to the MS in Nutrition program each year: 25% of tuition for the first two semesters of full time enrollment In partnership with Americorps, SNHS will award a total of three scholarships to Americorps alumni who have been newly accepted on a full-time basis to one of three programs: Nutrition and Health Promotion 25% of tuition for first two academic semesters Nursing 25% of tuition for the first three academic semesters Physical Therapy 25% of tuition for the duration of the DPT program for academic semesters A scholarship will be awarded to one accepted student in each of these programs.

School of Public Health Fellowships Scholarships

This opportunity supports graduate students of the Public Health Nutrition program. This opportunity supports graduate students of the Biostatistics, Environmental Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Health Social Behavior, Health Policy Management, Infectious Diseases, and Public Health Nutrition programs.

CBS scholarships and donors

The fellowship is awarded to graduate students in the Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics who pursue research in nutrition and related areas.
