One or awards to graduate students enrolled in CAHNR who are engaged in the study of the plant sciences, such as horticulture, pomology, forestry, agronomy, and botany, and such allied subjects as entomology, landscaping and the economics of said sciences. To provide scholarships in honor of Addie Connolly for students enrolled in Animal Science with special interests and or skills in equine science. Students must demonstrate an interest in Dairy Science, Dairy Production, Dairy Management, or a related field demonstrate academic achievement with a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent on any other scale and demonstrate financial need.

Testing Interventions for Health-Enhancing Physical Activity

Therefore, this Funding Opportunity Announcement encourages innovative research to improve the university understanding of increase and maintain health-enhancing physical activity using multi-level interventions. This FOA also seeks studies that address a wide range of population groups across the lifespan ODP: The Office of Disease Prevention is interested in co-funding applications for multi-level physical activity interventions that have strong implications for disease prevention, promise for broader adoption and use, and that showcase innovative and appropriate design, measurement, and analysis methods.

Endowments and Scholarships

Awarded to juniors and seniors who are majoring in a liberal arts or science program, who demonstrate need for financial assistance and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.9 or better. Students majoring in the Division of Natural, Applied and Quantitative Sciences and conducting science research while enrolled at Rockhurst University are eligible to receive this scholarship. The Physical Therapy Scholarship—initiated by a gift from the first graduating class in physical therapy and continues to be primarily supported by graduates and their families. John Albert Sheahon Scholarship will assist deserving students studying science at Rockhurst University who demonstrate need for financial assistance.

At the conclusion of the career development period the candidates are expected to demonstrate they can successfully compete for research funding in the environmental health sciences. The purpose of this funding opportunity is to support the development of rapid, sensitive, specific, simple, and cost-effective fungal diagnostics for primary health-care settings It will also encourage inter and multidisciplinary collaborations among scientists in a wide range of disciplines including nutritional science, immunology, microbiomics, genomics, other '-omic' sciences, biotechnology, and bioinformatics.

Eligible applicants for Hertz Fellowships must be students of the applied physical, biological and engineering sciences who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States of America, and who are willing to morally commit to make their skills available to the United States in time of national emergency.
