Graduate Funding Opportunities Chemistry
Fellowships are for women from developing and emerging economies to pursue PhD or postdoctoral studies in science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines at leading universities worldwide. The program offers scholarships for up to 5 years to master’s and doctoral students who have special aptitude for training in science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields and offers them career opportunities to continue their research in civil service roles following graduation. Academically qualified Chevron employees may earn 25% tuition assistance at USC when pursuing one of the following programs: MS in Petroleum Engineering, MS or Graduate Certificate in Petroleum Engineering , MS in Petroleum Engineering , or a Graduate Certificate in Petroleum Engineering If awarded, 25% of the tuition will be covered by the USC Viterbi Petroleum Engineering Department and 75% covered by Chevron. Additional funding for these awards is provided by the Directorate for Computer and Information Science and the Directorate for Engineering. The system permits electronic submission and updating of activity reports, including information on research accomplishments and findings, presentations, publications, teaching and research assistantships, awards and recognitions, and other scholarly accomplishments. Fellows must declare their intent to affiliate with an institution and to utilize the fellowship for the following year annually using the NSF FastLane fellowship management and reporting system. In addition, MyNSF is an information-delivery system designed to keep potential proposers and other interested parties apprised of new NSF funding opportunities and publications, important changes in proposal and award policies and procedures, and upcoming NSF Regional Grants Conferences.
The scholarship is designed to encourage the entry of qualified persons into the library and automation field who plan to follow a career in that field who demonstrate potential in and have a strong commitment to the use of automated systems in libraries and who are qualified members of a principal minority group American Society of Criminology — Student Awards and Fellowships.
