Fellowships for Urban and Regional Planning

The Urban and Regional Planning program currently offers two fellowships - the Brademas Fellowship and the Joseph and Nancy Keithley Summer Fellowship. This fellowship is designated to provide financial support for urban and regional planning students working in community-based organizations to strengthen low-income neighborhoods. Eligibility:To be eligible for the fellowship applicant must be a first year Master of Urban and Regional Planning student who has completed all of the first year core program courses. Eligibility: To be eligible for the fellowship applicant must be a master's student in the Master of Urban and Regional Planning or Master of Architecture program who has completed core program courses. Georgia Institute of Technology

Charles Brown Fellowship in Urban Design and Development honors College of Architecture alumnus and Atlanta developer Charles Brown. Thera Richter Fellowships honor the memory of the first woman to earn a graduate degree at Georgia Tech, Thera Richter Frank Wilkinson Fellowships support students working to anticipate and solve problems of urban fringe development. Students from a wide range of countries are eligible to for support for study in the students.S graduate programs in urban and regional planning. Urban Forestry Fellowship is available to one or graduate or advanced students studying urban forestry, environmental studies, horticulture, forestry, or related courses of study with a special interest in the urban forest.

The CREW Network Foundation scholarship program supports future female leaders as they pursue university-level education that will lead to careers in commercial real estate.

Virginia Tech

Ben Meadows Natural Resource Scholarships — Awarded to full-time students pursuing a two-year, four-year, or post-graduate degree in agroforestry, urban forestry, environmental studies, natural resource management, natural resources recreation, wildlife management, wood science, fisheries, or a related field. Ben Meadows Scholarship — Awarded to full-time students pursuing a two-year, four-year, or post-graduate degree in agro-forestry, urban forestry, environmental studies, natural resource management, natural resource recreation, wildlife management, wood science and fisheries, or a related field. Ryan Packaging Education Scholarship — Supports students majoring in packaging engineering or a related field. Trees Virginia Academic Scholarships — Supports and graduate students studying urban forestry at Virginia colleges.

Financial Aid

Robert Coard Urban College Scholarship The Robert Coard Urban Scholarship is awarded by Endicott College to a deserving graduate of an associate’s degree program of Urban College of Boston. Annie Collyer Sutton MH ‘61 Scholarship This scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving nursing student with demonstrated financial need who has high academic standards and exemplifies high ideals, strong leadership, and dedication to the nursing profession. Tulley Family Scholarship Established through the generosity of theTulley family, this scholarship is awarded to students to help them to achieve their goal of an Endicott education. Deborah Tyson Zimmerman ‘61 Scholarship This scholarship is awarded annually to a student who demonstrates commitment to academics, leadership, and the Endicott community.

Fellowships, Funding Sources, and Internships for Students

Summer Fellowship connects Fellows with a high-impact placement opportunity at a leading education organization, where applicant can drive critical work on a defined project over 10 consecutive weeks. The Department seeks talented and graduate students with a focus on planning, urban design, technology or related fields for summer internships.

Student Awards and Grants

Lan Jin received a Yale Hixon Fellowship from the Yale Hixon Center for Urban Ecology, a Yale Institute for Biospheric Studies Research Grant, a Yale Istitute for Biospheric Studies Pilot Grant, and a Summer Travel and Research Grant from the Yale Council on East Asian Studies.

2018-2019 Academic Year

All tuition and fees are subject to the approval of the Trustees and the University of Pennsylvania and are subject to change without notice. Tuition and Fees Scheduled for M.S.Ed. M.Phil.Ed. Programs: The total cost of tuition and fees for traditional, full-time masters and M.Phil.Ed. degree programs at Penn GSE can be found using the university Net Price Calculator. Students who do not graduate in 3 years will be billed Ed.D. dissertation plus program fee each semester beyond their 9th semester. All Ph.D. students are guaranteed a full scholarship for their first four years of study. They also receive a stipend and student health insurance.

Philadelphia Fellowship on Inclusion and Equity Awarded to Renowned Urbanist Richard Florida

The Philadelphia Fellowship—a collaborative program initiated by the three partner institutions—will invite thought leaders and scholars to Philadelphia for year-long research engagements focused on pressing urban issues, such as inclusive economic growth, infrastructure renewal and development of smart cities. Through the Philadelphia Fellowship, Florida will partner with each institution to further study Philadelphia’s urban demographic changes and urban revival trends, specifically analyzing drivers of economic and racial segregation and defining meaningful goals for equity and economic inclusion.
