Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship

The Foundation of the American College of Healthcare Executives established this scholarship in honor of Albert W. Dent, the first African-American Fellow of ACHE. This scholarship is offered to provide financial aid to racially/ethnically students in healthcare management graduate programs to help offset tuition costs, student loans, and expenses.

The Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship is designated for racially/ethnically diverse students enrolled in their final year of a healthcare management graduate program.

ACHE is a professional society of more than 48,000 healthcare executives. Known for its prestigious credentialing and educational programs and high-caliber publications, our vision is to be the preeminent professional society for healthcare executives dedicated to improving health.

They want to reward college students who embrace Shinesty's "Work Hard, Play Hard" mentality in favor of this project. Shinesty is proud to give both the Work Hard Scholarship and the Play Hard Scholarship to students who want to see the world take themselves less seriously by excelling academically and socially.

Sixth City Marketing College Scholarship

College costs will easily add up as you factor in classes, room and board, books, and other expenses. Earning a degree isn't cheap. Sixth City Marketing is pleased to launch a one-time scholarship for new and present college and university students. The scholarship will be charged directly to the university and will be applied to graduate or student tuition and/or on-campus room and board.

Entries will be evaluated for spelling and grammar as well as overall storytelling. This is a one-time scholarship. And the scholarship can only be used for tuition, books, or on-campus room and board

College Monk Short Essay Scholarship

The College Monk No Essay scholarship has no GPA provisions. The scholarship's aim is to offer financial aid to high school graduates or college students attending an accredited university in the United States. The scholarship is given out once a year and is open to all qualifying students regardless of race, national origin, or immigration status. The scholarship winner will be chosen based on the essay submitted.

Schneider Hammers Scholarship

This scholarship is designed to assist candidates who have exemplary character and a strong contribution to community service. Any American citizen who will be attending a college, university, graduate school, or law school in the United States within the current calendar year is eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship is only open to candidates with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

This one-time scholarship grant will be submitted directly to the winner's college or university's registrar's office and will be used to pay tuition, taxes, lodging, and/or books up to the Rate of Attendance. This scholarship will not be renewed. In addition to an essay, applicants must submit an official transcript and one letter of recommendation from an employer or professor/teacher.

Swopsmart National Scholarship

Swopsmart, a leading smartphone buyback provider, has developed the Swopsmart Scholarship Initiative, which will grant scholarships to the recipient. Their hope is that they will be able to relieve some of the financial pressure that students face while paying for college-related expenses.

Swopsmart intends to award one scholarship every academic year. Applicants are expected to register at least once a year. Winners, though, are only considered for the Swopsmart Scholarship once.

Rotary Scholarship

This scholarship initiative is a vocational service project of the Rotary Club of Asbury Park that aims to assist and inspire Asbury Park, Neptune, Ocean Township, and Academy Charter High School seniors to achieve a post-secondary degree with a focus on community service. The Asbury Park Rotary Club anticipates awarding up to one scholarship to each of the four high schools. Each chosen recipient will receive a scholarship, which will be paid in equivalent annual installments for the first two years of their particular post-secondary educational program. This scholarship is paid directly to the recipient and is intended to be used for books and other college expenses. 

The first payment will be made after the first semester is completed successfully, and the second payment will be made after the third semester is completed successfully. The Rotary Club of Asbury Park will vote on eligibility and prizes depending on the candidate list.

Gates Millennium Scholars Program

The goal of the Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS) program is to encourage academic excellence and provide an opportunity for outstanding minority students with substantial financial need to achieve their highest potential by reducing financial barriers for students with high academic and leadership promiscuity in African American, American Indian/Alaska Resident, Asian Pacific Islander American and Hispanic American

Each year, GMS has chosen 1,000 new scholars and we are now supporting more than 20,000 Gates Scholars. Around 54 percent of scholars are first-generation learners, the first to go to college in their communities. After receiving a Bachelor's degree, close to 37.5 percent of Gates Millennium Scholars transition to graduate school.

Fund II Foundation UNCF STEM Scholars Program

500 African American high school students who are determined to pursue careers in STEM fields will be selected by the Fund II Foundation UNCF STEM Scholars Program. To help them achieve their goals, these students will obtain scholarships, internships, mentoring and other tools. The Fund II Foundation is making a $48 million donation to the STEM Scholars Initiative.

This collaboration tackles this challenge, with African Americans making up less than five percent of the workforce in science and engineering, and less than one percent of all tech startups. The UNCF STEM Scholars Program of the Fund II Foundation will create a strong pipeline of African American students well prepared to have careers in the tech industry and to become the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.

Solvable Scholarship

Because College is Expensive Scholarship

The $500 "Because College is Expensive" Scholarship is available to students in high school, current undergraduates and grad students in their junior or senior year, as well as anyone hoping to enroll within 12 months. By random drawing, the winner will be decided and then contacted directly and posted on the Scholarship Winners list. All that is required is one entry per person.

Old School Labs $1,000 Scholarship

At Old School Labs, they believe in questioning the status quo and assisting others in doing the same. It took a collaborative effort from scientists, nutritionists, and designers to re-invent a high-quality, nutritious supplement.

Any of this, though, would not have been possible without a decent education.

It is their desire that they will pay it forward and assist someone else in achieving their goals and beginning to challenge the status quo. Per year, one scholarship is awarded.

OppU Achievers Scholarship

The OppU Achievers Scholarship recognizes and rewards accomplishment in all of its aspects, as well as those that build opportunities for themselves and others.

The scholarship, which was established in 2016, offers scholarships for present or prospective educational expenses. Scholarships are awarded four times a year. The OppU Achievers Scholarship awards individuals who have shown exceptional achievement.

NJCPA Scholarship

The NJCPA Scholarship Fund awards one-year tuition scholarships to accounting students at New Jersey colleges who are in their junior or senior year and planning to attend an accounting-related graduation program in New Jersey.

Academic results, an essay, and a personal interview are used to determine scholarship recipients.

AARP Foundation Women's Scholarship Program

The Women's Scholarship Program of the AARP Foundation allows women with low incomes to achieve opportunities. Education, training and skills upgrades were funded by the Foundation's scholarship program, leading to improved job prospects and enhanced financial stability for women and their families.

Frederick Douglass Bicentennial Scholarship Program

In support of students attending accredited historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) nationally, the Frederick Douglass Bicentennial Scholarship Program was established.

Each year, the program will award two $10,000 scholarships to outstanding HBCU seniors (one female and one male student) who have displayed high academic achievement, good leadership skills, community service dedication, and unmet financial need.

Myra Levick Scholarship Fund

NABA National Scholarship Program

Since its inception, NABA, Inc. has provided more than $11.2 million in scholarship funds to deserving students preparing to enter various accounting, finance and business professions. In the past two fiscal years (FY2019 and FY2020), NABA awarded over $347,000 and the amount continues to grow annually. Through the generous contributions of individuals, groups, and organizations that share NABA's desire to break through the economic barriers students of color often experience, NABA offers an average of 50 national scholarships annually ranging from $1,500 - $5,000.
