Consuelo W. Gosnell Memorial Scholarship

The Consuelo W. Gosnell Memorial Scholarship is awarded to master's degree candidates in social work who have demonstrated a commitment to working with, or who have a special affinity with, American Indian/Alaska Native and Hispanic/Latino populations. Candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to working with public or voluntary nonprofit agencies or with local grassroots groups in the United States are also eligible.

The Consuelo W. Gosnell Memorial Scholarship is awarded based on the projected annual earnings to the fund and contributions. Up to 10 scholarships of up to $4,000 each will be awarded.

Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago Academic Scholarship

The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago Academic Scholarship administer educational scholarship funds from the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago to help Jewish college and graduate students offset some of their financial burdens. Assistance is available for those with financial needs who are pursuing careers in the helping professions. Scholarships range up to $8,000, and are renewable.

Verne LaMarr Lyons Memorial Scholarship

The Verne LaMarr Lyons Memorial Scholarship is awarded to Master's Degree candidates in social work who demonstrate an interest in or has experience with health/mental health practice and have a commitment to working in African American communities. Previous recipients now work in hospitals, medical clinics, and social services agencies that provide treatment and specialized services to African American clients and others have gone into broader leadership services.

The Lyons Scholarships are awarded based on projected annual earnings and contributions. With generous support from the Tamara L. Harris Foundation, a total of six Lyons Scholarships in the amount of $4,333 each will be awarded.

James M. & Erma T. Freemont Foundation Scholarship Program

The Freemont Foundation Scholarship Program is available to graduating high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students. Through generous donations, the Foundation is able to provide scholarships to outstanding students, the "Freemont Scholars".

Freemont Scholars are selected from a nationwide pool of applicants. The Freemont Foundation awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate students with a record of leadership and volunteerism in the community and participation in extracurricular school activities.

Elizabeth J. Davis Scholarship

The Elizabeth J. Davis Scholarship was established to assist home care professionals with obtaining advanced degrees and students seeking bachelor's or associate degrees in a health profession. The scholarship is available to any Vermont resident who is studying for a degree in a health care profession and who plans to work in-home care in Vermont upon completion of the program. There is no financial requirement although financial need is considered.

Senior Care Scholarship

The Senior Care Scholarship is awarded to students interested in the gerontology field. Students must be enrolled in associate, bachelor's, or graduate-level programs in nursing, medical, or social work and plan to pursue a career working with senior citizens.

Students are given the option to write an essay or provide a short video discussing life lessons learned from a senior and how they will apply those life lessons in their future careers working with seniors.
