The Donaghey Scholars Honors Program is open to all majors at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. With a generous financial package, interdisciplinary core curriculum, study abroad, and supportive community, the Donaghey Scholars Honors Program offers a distinctive learning environment.

The program virtually replaces the University’s core courses with an interdisciplinary curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking through the reading of primary texts, writing, and discussion. As the campus-wide honors program, the Donaghey Scholars Honors Program builds a strong foundation for students to pursue their major areas of study at UA Little Rock.

Donaghey Scholars receive a substantial financial package totaling between $75,000-$95,000 that includes full tuition, fees, and a generous stipend.

All students accepted into the Program receive:

  • Full tuition and fees for up to 18 hours per semester for up to eight semesters
  • Stipend ($6,000, $8,000, or $10,000 per year dependent upon qualifications)
  • Financial assistance towards Study Abroad
  • On-campus housing subsidy
  • New laptop computer
  • The Donaghey Scholars Honors Program has a core curriculum that virtually replaces UA Little Rock’s general education core. Class enrollment is limited to Scholars, ensuring small class sizes and faculty engagement.
