In May 1999 The Guild completed the E.D. Doug Hodo Endowed Scholarship in Graduate Education. The Grace Gandy Endowed Scholarship designated for the Executive Educational Leadership program.

The UI UCEM provides highly competitive scholarships and professional development funds that supplement the full support provided to students during their doctoral studies. As per Sloan Foundation guidelines all Sloan Scholars must be US Citizens belonging to at least one of the following groups: African American, Hispanic Lati Native American, or Alaskan Native.

Sloan Scholarship Duke University Center of Exemplary Mentoring

They award Sloan Scholarships to 10 incoming students each year in the following Ph.D. program: Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistical Science, Biomedical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science
