Military Affairs Scholarships

Webster University has been serving military students since 1974, by providing high-quality, cost-effective graduate programs at military installations and metropolitan locations throughout the country. The Webster University USA Scholarship is available to qualified military dependents, civil service employees, and federal contract workers when enrolled in on-base, in-classroom courses. Webster University is pleased to offer the Proud to Serve Scholarship for military dependents on the Webster Groves campus. The scholarship is offered in addition to any transferred GI Bill® higher education benefit and any other scholarships and awards. However, if a student qualifies for merit aid in excess of $3,000, only a $1,000 award will be given annually for the Proud to Serve scholarship.

Outside Scholarships

Scholarship funds of $10,000 will be dispersed to the University or educational institution the scholarship recipient is enrolled in within 60 days of scholarship award. Scholarship awards must be used by the recipient within 6 months of the scholarship award date. 6 The Behan Law Group MILITARY VETERAN SCHOLARSHIP. You may apply for the Fall 2022 Behan Law Group Military Veteran Scholarship. The scholarship is open to any current high school senior, college student, or graduate student who is a legal resident of the United States residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia and who is enrolled in a two to a five-year post-secondary institution for the Fall 2022 semester. Privately Funded Scholarships

This scholarship, previously named A-State Disability Services Scholarship, was established for students with a disability, with preference given to students with a learning disability. The Alpha Tau Alpha, a national professional fraternity for students majoring in agricultural education, established this scholarship to aid its qualified members during their student teaching semester. This scholarship was establihsed by Buddy and Charlotte Beck to benefit military science students. The Bob and Frances Puryear Physical Therapy Scholarship was established in honor and in memory of Bob and Frances Puryear by their three surviving children, families and friends. This scholarship was established by friends, family and colleagues of Dr. C. This scholarship was established with proceeds from the College of Business Scholarship Gala.

Scholarships

Yellow Ribbon funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis to a maximum of 100 students and a maximum of 100 graduate students if VA has determined their eligibility for the program. The Veterans Affairs has announced that some spouses currently receiving benefits under Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance program may now be eligible for the Fry Scholarship. A one-time irrevocable election to receive either the Fry Scholarship or DEA will be required.

MSW Scholarships

These scholarships may be awarded based on need and or merit, depending on the individual scholarship. The Joanna Finkelstein Gorham Scholarship was established by Louise H. Jeff Langston’s family, classmates, and friends raised the funds to establish a permanent endowment. The Betsy Rogers Millar Scholarship Fund was established in 1989 by Dr. Jack R. The Jane Curtis Parker Scholarship, established by the family and friends of Jane Curtis Parker, a 1954 alumna, is awarded to a rising second-year student whose qualities embody Mrs. Royall, Jr. Scholarship was established in honor of Kenneth C. The Ellen Black Winston Scholarship Award was established by the NC Conference for Social Services to honor Dr. Winston’s life.

The emphasis of study for Jacobsen Scholars is academically-based community scholarship and service that focuses on issues of concern to women, with particular emphasis on strengthening families. This scholarship supports PhD students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship at the doctoral level. Over time this endowment has grown to support a scholarship as well. This scholarship was established to honor the late Senator Pete Suazo. The College of Social Work and the Suazo family are proud to provide this scholarship to a full-time student who has financial need and who demonstrates a strong commitment to and leadership potential in issues of social and economic justice. Watkins, established this endowed scholarship in 2021 with a gift from the Dennis A.
