UW Law School Scholarship Donors

Ms. Ebert’s family hopes that the scholarship will inspire students to reach for their highest goals, all the while remembering those less fortunate and in need. This scholarship was created to provide scholarship support to students pursuing a law degree with the intent of improving environmental policies and laws at a local, national, or international level. Privately Funded Scholarships

The Alpha Tau Alpha, a national professional fraternity for students majoring in agricultural education, established this scholarship to aid its qualified members during their student teaching semester. The Bob and Frances Puryear Physical Therapy Scholarship was established in honor and in memory of Bob and Frances Puryear by their three surviving children, families and friends. Available Scholarships

Scholarship Amount Varies depending on funds available and number of scholarships awarded. An anonymous donor established the Art Excellence Scholarship Fund to provide educational scholarships for primarily non-traditional students pursuing Studio Art or Art History at the University of Texas at Tyler. Scholarship Amount Initially, this scholarship will award $1,500. Citizens 1st Bank Perkins Family Foundation State Employees' Children Scholarship. This scholarship was established through the generosity of Citizens 1st Bank and the Perkins Family Foundation in appreciation for the dedication State of Texas employees. THE AMBROSE MEMORIAL ART SCHOLARSHIP was established in memory of Marc Carroll Ambrose, Betty Rainer Ambrose, and Charles Ambrose by family and friends. THE DOROTHY BRELAND SCHOLARSHIP IN MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY was established by local physicians for scholarship awards to outstanding Hattiesburg area students majoring in either nursing or medical technology. Income from this scholarship endowment provides general academic scholarships for worthy students. The scholarship aids in the education expenses of students entering the ministry, with preference given to students called to the mission field. THE SAM JONES MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP was established to honor the memory of Sam Jones, this scholarship benefits worthy and needy students.

General Application Scholarships at Truman Heartland

Please note that we launched a new scholarship portal this year, so every applicant will have to set up a new account to apply for scholarships. The Katowitz family established this scholarship to honor Harry and Connie legacy of supporting young people in the community. Blair’s Foster Socks established the Blair Michaela Shanahan Lane Memorial Scholarship in 2016 to build upon Blair’s loving legacy by providing scholarships to students in distressed situations. The Lutz Family Scholarship was established to benefit students graduating from the Butler R-5 school system and electing to continue their education. The Harold H., Norma J., and James Allan (Jimmy) Scholarship was established through a bequest from the Schmidt family.

Scholarships Development and Alumni Relations

Scholarship funds allow us to offer financial assistance to top prospects with diverse backgrounds and experiences, ensuring that financial barriers will not deter top applicants from pursuing a Northwestern University medical degree. $213 million is the current value of Northwestern scholarship endowment. With an immediate-use gift in support of scholarships, applicant can see their philanthropy in action. These expendable gifts create new scholarship funds and last until all principal funds are distributed to students. With a commitment of $50,000 or donors are invited to name the scholarship. Endowed scholarships stipulate that their gift will be invested and the principal will remain intact. Each year, a percentage of the interest earned on the endowment is awarded as scholarship support.
