Financial Aid Scholarships - Tyler School of Art

Deadline for submission for this scholarship is March 1. Financial aid can include Federal Stafford Loans, work-study, and scholarships. Graduate Architecture Scholarship These scholarships are awarded on the basis of exemplary academic achievement and the potential of future success in the field. Temple Alumni Scholarship Upon acceptance into the MArch program, Temple University Alumni receive a 5% Tuition Scholarship annually. Chentsova Scholarship The Daria Chentsova Scholarship is awarded to a student who shows extraordinary creativity, talent, and determination to succeed in the field of architecture. Oliveri Scholarship is awarded to a student on the basis of sustained commitment ot an interest in Architecture. The Architecture Department works with graduate students to identify professional internships both on and off campus.

Other Scholarship Deadlines

The IAA Foundation is awarding several scholarships for students who will major in agriculture, agribusiness, or an agriculture-related course of study in college. The National Security Agency through this program will pay tuition and book costs at the college of their choice in return for their employment at the NSA for a length of 1½ times the length of study in college. The American Architectural Foundation offers this scholarship to provide assistance to students from a minority and or financially disadvantaged background who intend to pursue a professional degree in architecture.

Financial Aid

Priority for the academic year will be given to students who are approved for admission and complete their financial aid file by March 2. Institutional aid may not be applied to travel study abroad programs conducted by the University. The Architecture Scholarship is designed for students who are serious pursuing architecture. Award amounts are determined by the College of Architecture, Visual Arts, and Design. The College of Architecture, Visual Arts, and Design Scholarship is designed for students who are serious pursuing these disciplines. Ensemble members or music students receiving a music scholarship are required to make normal academic progress in their academic studies.

The Graduate School of Arts Sciences - Fellowships and Grants

Applications are accepted from January 15 through March 1, and awards are announced during the first week of April. Fellowships are normally awarded to graduate students in architecture, history, politics and other related fields. Office of International Education

FLAS fellowships can be used to study abroad or on campus The Frederick Douglass Global Fellowship offers students of color a full scholarship to study abroad on a program that builds their leadership and intercultural communication skills. Feldman Study Abroad Endowment is a new opportunity for civil and environmental engineering students to supplement their study abroad plans with a non-academic experience that extends or enhances the meaning and perspective they receive from their overseas experience. Funding up to $7,500 towards an academic-year study abroad program in Japan. Boteler Study Abroad Scholarship was created in memory of Winston C. Funding for architecture majors to study abroad. Scholarship General allows students to pick a university in a city in Shandong to study at for a semester or academic year.

Lassen Fellowships in Latin American Studies

This prestigious fellowship covers full tuition and fees for the first year, a 12-month stipend, and a summer grant to support research in Latin America. In addition to the Lassen Fellowship, Joseph’s research is funded by the Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship and Princeton University’s President’s Fellowship.

Julia Amory Appleton Traveling Fellowship in Architecture - Harvard Graduate School of Design

Appleton Traveling Fellowship in Architecture was established in 1906 from a gift given to the President and Fellows of Harvard College by Charles F. The fellowship is approximately $40,000 and is to be used for travel and study.

External Scholarships

The Aga Khan Foundation: The Aga Khan Foundation provides a limited number of scholarships each year for postgraduate studies to outstanding students from developing countries who have no other means of financing their studies. It is awarded annually to an outstanding Mexican individual to study in the US or Canada, with preference given to those in the academic fields of journalism, communication studies, and political science. At the judging stage, preference is given to those whose proposed study in North America is likely to do most to further transatlantic understanding or to those who are required to the US to do a specific course.

Assistantships

The deadline for these assistantships is March 15, 2021. Responsibilities include providing one-on-one assistance with technology helping with social skills training coordinating the recruitment and training of graduate students as job coaches supervising work study students with ASD and coordinating field trips.

Ertegun Graduate Scholarship Programme in the Humanities

Applications to The Mica and Ahmet Ertegun Graduate Scholarship Programme may be made by those in fields covered by the following Faculties: Classics (including classical archaeology) English Language and Literature Fine Art (DPhil in Contemporary Art History and Theory only), History (including History of Art and the History of Architecture) Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics Medieval and Modern Languages (covering most European languages and their literature) Music iental Studies (including Far Eastern and Middle Eastern Studies, and the study of a wide range of languages) Philosophy Theology and Religion and the Film Aesthetics and Women Studies interdisciplinary courses. It is expected that the first round of Ertegun Scholarship offers will be issued by the end of March 2020.
