The fellowship will help fund a proposal designed by the applicant to conduct brief work in a foreign country related to the mandate of UNESCO, using education, natural sciences, social and human sciences, culture, and or communication and information to build strong ties among nations. The USD S3 S-STEM Scholarship program aims to attract and support excellent students wishing to major in the areas of mathematics, computer science, physics or biophysics, and the program is particularly interested in recruiting low-income, underrepresented, first-generation college and female students. Each S3 S-STEM Scholar receives up to $7500 per year, based on demonstrated financial need, to work towards the degree in mathematics, computer science or physics, and the scholarship can be renewed on an annual basis for up to four years.
The Biology and Marine Biology Merit Scholarship is a merit scholarship created by the department to assist students majoring Biology and Marine Biology. The John Colucci, Jr. Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a marine biology student. The Construction-Imaging Systems Scholarship In Computer Science was created by the founder of Construction-Imaging Systems to assist students accepted into the College of Arts and Sciences Computer Science. The Stephanie Fitzgerald David Political Science Public Administration Scholarship was created by Mark Griffis and Dave Robertson in honor of Stephanie David. Lindquist Scholarship for Biology was created in honor of David G. This scholarship is used to assist students majoring in biology within the College of Arts and Sciences and is awarded annually in the amount of $500.
Scholarships College Of Science And Mathematics
The Margaret and Herman Sokol Graduate Fellowship in Science is a ten thousand dollar award to a graduating natural science major from the College of Science and Mathematics at Montclair State University who will pursue formal, full-time graduate study leading to a doctoral degree at an accredited institution of higher learning. This award will be restricted to students in the disciplines of biology, molecular biology, geoscience, physics, chemistry and biochemistry. An Award recipient must demonstrate a commitment to biology and molecular biology scholarship and research. The university encourage successful applicants to restore the funds to the Biology and Molecular Biology Department and the Dr. Al Stein Memorial Fund when they are financially able to, in order to help future students in need.
Award given to a deserving or graduate student receiving a Biology degree from UA. Leyden Green Memorial Endowed Scholarship will be a full or part-time junior or senior in the Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences majoring in biology or a related medical field. Awarded annually to a rising junior, senior or graduate student seeking a degree in the Biology. The Recipient of this award will be a sopho junior or senior enrolled in one of the following science based majors: Math. A scholarship for a Biology student and a scholarship for a Chemistry student, each valued at $1,500, are awarded annually. Student must be enrolled in the Biology graduate program and submit a typed proposal describing the research to be conducted if the summer the assistantship is granted.
