Asian Scholarships

Most of the following scholarships are relevant for students with the following attributes: specifically from an Asian background, the students.S. citizens, enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college or university within the the students.S., with good academic records and or demonstrated financial need, and involvement in community organizations and activities. The Telamon Scholarship offers $3,500 to an applicant of Asian heritage actively involved in community service with a marked record of academic excellence. Boston College has an Asian American scholarship, which has been offered since 1995. The Asian American Journalists Association scholarships have given than a million dollars to over 500 aspiring Asian American student-journalists. The Asian American Bar Association offers generous scholarships, of particular interest to Law students.

Conference on Asian Pacific American Leadership funding for Asian American students to complete summer internships in Washington, DC. Lagrant Foundation Scholarship for Graduate Students for African American, Asian American or Pacific Islander, Hispanic and Native American students enrolled in a graduate program concentrating in advertising, marketing or public relations. American Political Science Association Minority Fellowship Program for pursuit of doctoral degrees in political science African Americans, Asian Pacific Americans, Latinos as, and Native Americans.

UT College of Liberal Arts

Stipends given by the Asian Studies range from $1,000 $15,000, and may include supplements for tuition and fees and medical insurance. Graduate Student Funding from the Asian Studies. Most awards made by the Asian Studies to its graduate students do not require a separate application. Priority is given to graduate students in the Asian Studies graduate students should note on their annual report if they are interested in a teaching assistant position. The following fellowships are awarded to Asian Studies graduate students by the Graduate Studies Committee based on merit and or financial need. Faurot Memorial Endowed Fellowship in Chinese Studies This fellowship supports graduate students focusing on Chinese Studies in their research and scholarly efforts.

Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships

Award preference will be given to students who are either majoring or minoring in Southeast Asian Studies through the South Southeast Asian Studies or who otherwise demonstrate a commitment to Southeast Asian Studies.

Financial Aid Scholarships

ROY WELLS BUSINESS SCHOLARSHIP: Enrolled in courses in College of Business Administration, 2.85 GPA or higher, selection based on character, scholarship, potential in the individual area of study and financial need, Texas resident.

William S. Richardson School of Law - External Scholarships

Paul Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans Up to $25,000 for two years. Fulbright in South Pacific Asian NationsThe Fulbright Program offers grants to qualified graduate students of Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu to study at the graduate level in the United States. Center for Philippine Studies Research Grants These research grants are available specifically for students dealing with work regarding the Philippines to further their research. All grant recipients will be required to submit a final report and share their research findings as a lecture talk for the Center for Philippine Studies Colloquium Series. Star Foundation Graduate Fellowship in Asian Studies This fellowship is available to full-time Asian Studies M.A. sudents only.

Outside Scholarships

Eligibility Requirements: The Philippine American Bar Association Foundation is proud to offer a scholarship to a law student who has demonstrated a commitment to serving the needs of the Asian Pacific American, with an emphasis in the Filipino-American community. Eligibility Requirements: Awarded by the American Association for Justice, this scholarship is open to all second and third-year AAJ law student members. Eligibility Requirements: The American Association of Law Libraries is committed to providing opportunities for professional growth. Asian Pacific American Bar Association (APABA) of Los Angeles County-Public Interest Fellowship.

Funding

Awards are provided from endowments and special funds that were established through the generosity of donors to the UCLA Asian American Studies Center. Martha Ogata Grant to study Domestic Violence and Abuse in Asian Pacific American Communities.

Acupuncture Massage Therapy School Scholarships

These scholarships primarily target Korean American students who are enrolled full time. If additional funds remain, non-Korean American students may receive an award.
