Housing and Urban Development As part of the Berger fellowship, David hopes to gain stronger understanding of the planning, financing, implementation, and monitoring involved in the creation of successful international projects that produce real benefits for the communities that they are designed to help. David Burgy’s interest in the Berger Fellowship came out of a desire to help close the infrastructure gap between developed and developing countries. He participated in two summer fellowships, the first performing an environmental study on the ground and surface-water near a wastewater treatment plant in Maryland, the second conducting experiments to determine remove bacteria from urban stormwater runoff.

The WRF-HEOR Fellowship aims to address this gap by providing high quality health economic and outcomes research services to technology developers at non-profit research institutions in Washington state while also providing a valuable training activity for graduate students at Washington state research institutions. Scholarships

Fellowships for students pursuing a PhD in economics are available on a competitive basis. The James Buchanan Fellowship is an opportunity available to incoming full-time, on-campus students who are pursuing their MA in economics and who are interested in a career in public policy. The fellowship has no work component and is intended to cover tuition up to nine credits a semester for a total of 30 credits and provide students with a stipend. The purpose of the fund is to support one $5000 graduate fellowship within the Philosophy on an annual basis.

Payne International Development Graduate Fellowship Program seeks to attract outstanding young people who are interested in pursuing careers in the Foreign Service of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Becas Talentia Fellowship Program: TALENTIA Fellowship Program is an initiative by the Ministry for Innovation, Science and Enterprise in Andalusia, Spain (at present the Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Science) that provides postgraduate scholarships to students from Andalusia allowing them to study abroad in selected institutions. TALENTIA Fellowships are awarded to students for a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 24 months. Innovate Carolina UNC Innovation Entrepreneurship

Bryan Fellowship is designed for aspiring social change-makers who are interested in providing a significant contribution locally, nationally or internationally by creating an entrepreneurial project that addresses a community issue or need. Applicant will receive up to $1,500 to help launch their idea, gain access to professional development funds, get support from APPLES students and staff, and experience invaluable leadership training and personal development. The Community Engagement Fellowship awards a maximum of five fellowships of up to $2,000 each year. The BALLE Local Economy Fellowship is the nation’s only fellowship focused on the development of a new economy that is healthy and equitable.
