Scholarships for Music Majors

Top of the Rock Peggy Gram Scholarship Scholarships for college women studying Music Education or Vocal Performance Education at the secondary level. Music schools offer their own scholarships to students based on auditions and sometimes academic performance.

Music Scholarships

MARGUERITE HAWKINSON SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship will be awarded to a junior student majoring in Vocal Music in either education or performance.

Amount: $3000
Scholarships

The scholarship will be given to an instrumentalist, vocalist, keyboard, performance, or music education major.

Current Endowed Scholarships

This fund is established by Wayne and Harriet Hooper for the purpose of supporting the study and performance of classical and traditional church worship music. Recognizing the importance of classical and traditional church music in the life of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, it is their desire that the Wayne and Harriet Hooper Music Scholarship fund support students that have an interest in the study and performance of classical and traditional church music and demonstrate an active involvement in the performance of classical and traditional church music.

Scholarships

If applicant receive a performance scholarship, applicant are required to participate in appropriate performing ensembles each long semester, and must agree to accept assignment by the College of Music in no than two performance laboratory ensembles each semester. If applicant receive a non-performance music scholarship, applicant are required to enroll in appropriate courses as determined by their area.

College of Fine Arts Music Theatre Performance Scholarship Given annually with support from the CFA to a Music Theatre Performance major.

Music Scholarships

The Anne Catherine Swanke Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a deserving music major who gives evidence by recitals and performances that they intend to pursue a career in music as a performer. The USD Music Scholarships are available for incoming or continuing music majors who excel in performance, composition, education, or research in music history or culture and show promise of making a strong contribution to the Music Department.

Scholarships

Lewis Clark offers merit-based music scholarships to students who demonstrate outstanding skill and potential in their instrument, voice part, and or in music composition. Continuing students who audition for music scholarships are eligible to receive Music Excellence Awards. The Lewis Clark College music fers an array of named music scholarships, designed by the university donors to foster excellence in a variety of musical areas. The Betsy Russell ’81 Music Composition Scholarship was established by music alumna Betsy Russell in order to celebrate emerging composers in the greater Portland area.
