Music Scholarships

Recipients to be selected by the SNU Music Scholarship Committee. Provides scholarships for upper division music majors or minors who are members of the SNU Concert Chorale or its successor ensemble, exhibiting financial need and who exemplifies SNU motto of Character-Culture-Christ . Provides scholarships for private piano lessons for full-time music majors with verified financial need. Awards aid to upper-division students preparing for a teaching career in music. Provides tuition assistance to Music majors and minors. Provides need-based scholarships for music majors who are members of the SNU Concert Chorale or its successor ensemble. Provides general scholarships for students pursuing a major or minor in music, or music education.

Auditions and Music Scholarships

University Days Scholarships The Music at Walla Walla University offers a number of scholarships for incoming and continuing music students. All University Days music scholarship decisions will be made after both March and April auditions are completed. Music lesson fee waiver scholarship for music majors. Available Scholarships

Students majoring in visual arts, art history, music, music education, theater, or dance should also use the Arts Matching Tool. Evelyn Davis Jordan graduated from Palestine High School at age 15 and went on to study music at SMU and the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. This scholarship will be awarded to students pursuing music and performing arts studies (music, musical theater, and dance). Other Eligibility Requirements This scholarship will recognize students with interest, talent, and accomplishment in music and performing arts and an inclination to continue their studies in music and performing arts (music, musical theater, and dance) at an accredited college or university as a full-time student.

Auditions and Scholarships

Music Major Auditions and Scholarships at the University of St. Thomas. By completing the application before the February 1 deadline, new students can also be considered for a music major scholarship. The university encourage applicant to apply for a music scholarship. To be considered for a music scholarship, complete this process by Feb. Eligibility for music scholarships requires that the student is an active music major. To be eligible and retain a scholarship a student is required to maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 Petra Memorial Endowed Scholarship in Music and the Carrie E. Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship

Incoming freshman and transfer applicants with superior talent in the areas of Music, Theatre Arts, or Visual Art can and audition for a VAPA Scholarship prior to enrolling at Cal Lutheran. Music and Theatre Arts Scholarships can be awarded up to $30,000 and are renewable for subsequent years. Music scholarships are offered to students who exhibit great promise as musicians and composers. Scholarship recipients are expected to show leadership in music department ensembles, productions, and maintain a record of academic excellence. VAPA scholarships in music are available to all Cal Lutheran students regardless of major.

Types of Aid

MSM Scholarship is awarded to approximately 50% of the university full-time enrolled students. Pell Grants are funded by the federal government and are designed to provide financial assistance to students with exceptional financial need pursuing their first degree. The EFC found on the Student Aid Report determines the amount of the award. SEOG awards are provided by federal and institutional funds and are restricted to students with exceptional financial need. Pell Grant recipients have first priority. The Federal Work-Study Program provides jobs for students with demonstrated financial need, allowing them to earn money to assist with personal and living expenses. Individual awards are dependent upon total allocation from the federal government but are generally $1,200.

Scholarships Grants

A renewable $1,000 scholarship available to alumni of the Lutheran Music Program for students majoring in music, music education, or church music. The All-State Music Scholarship is renewable based on participation in both an ensemble and private lessons with continuous good standing in both areas. Scholarships

The University of Rio Grande awards 1 4-year Full Tuition Scholarship and 2 4-year Partial Tuition Scholarships to incoming Music majors each year. Scholarship recipients will be required to remain Music majors in good academic standing in order to retain their scholarships. Any recipients who change to a major other than Music Education, Music Business or Music Comprehensive will immediately lose the scholarship.
