School of Nursing

Purpose: In honor of Katherine Shuberg Oppermann earned income will be utilized biannually to provide scholarships for students in nursing programs. Purpose: To provide scholarship support for one nursing student at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, who shows promise and a keen in obstetrical nursing. Purpose: To provide scholarship support for students enrolled in graduate studies for pediatric nursing. Purpose: To make scholarship awards to and graduate nursing students enrolled or accepted at UTMB. Purpose: To provide support for nursing students of academic promise who face financial challenges in paying their tuition. Purpose: To honor Betty Sherman Sterling to by providing scholarships for students in the and graduate UTMB nursing program.

Perinatal Nursing Graduate Scholarships: To recognize and promote excellence in nursing care of mothers and babies, the March of Dimes offers several $5,000 scholarships annually to registered nurses enrolled in graduate programs of maternal-child nursing.

Scholarships Loans

The Arkansas Graduate Nursing Education Student Loan and Scholarship Program, Act 1468, was originally established in 1995 and is designed to increase the number of advanced practice nurses, clinical nurse specialists, and nurse educators in the state of Arkansas. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing has formed the Graduate Nursing Student Academy to provide high-value programs, services and resources to nursing students enrolled in master and doctoral programs. The Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates RN General Education Scholarship offers funds of $2,500 as a reimbursement to a student in an accredited nursing program. Available to students enrolled in all types of registered nursing programs, the Nursing Scholarship Program pays tuition, education-related expenses and a living stipend.

Nurse Practitioner FNP This Scholarship recognizes an outstanding nursing student enrolled in an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Be a student or graduate in good standing of a the students.S. education program granting a bachelor of science degree and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education Rutgers University-New Brunswick has 2 scholarships ranging between $500-$1,000 each. AACN and AfterCollege award two $2500 scholarships every quarter to students who are seeking baccalaureate, master or doctoral degree in nursing.

SoNAH Scholarships School of Nursing and Allied Health

The Hotze Health and Wellness Scholarship for Nursing Excellence at Houston Baptist University will be awarded to students who exemplify the following characteristics: This is a departmental scholarship. The National Student Nurses’ Association awards individual one-time scholarships of $1,000 to $2,500 in honor of Frances Tompkins. The scholarships are based on academic achievement, financial need and involvement in nursing student organizations and community activities related to healthcare. Registered nurse in baccalaureate programs and license vocational nurses in programs leading to registered nurse licensure must submit a copy of their license to be considered for the Career Mobility Scholarships. As funds are available, the Houston Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society awards scholarships for students expressing interest in oncology nursing.

Nursing scholarships

Special consideration will be given to students in a graduate program with the goal of becoming a nurse educator students completing an RN-to-BSN or RN-to-MSN. Each year, funds are provided to registered nurses and students for scholarships and research grants. The purpose of this scholarship is to award to a licensed occupational and environmental health nurse dedicated to developing leadership skills to better provide for the health and safety of workers in the workplace and protect and ensure the longevity of the occupational health nursing. New Careers in Nursing Scholarship Program aims to ease the nation’s nursing shortage by attracting new students into the profession of nursing while enhancing efforts to recruit students from underrepresented groups in nursing.
